Host a Renewing Your Mind Workshop

HOST REQUIREMENTS

  1. The two sessions in this workshop (Renewing the Mind with Truth Drops and Exploring the Ancient Oils of Scripture) will be presented from a traditional, Judeo-Christian perspective. There will be no references to New Age or outside religions during this presentation.

  2. During each session, Stacy McDonald will speak approximately 45-60 minutes with a recommended half hour break in between sessions. Any DIY activities should be scheduled after the presentations are over.

Additional guest speakers are welcome and encouraged, but not required. As the host, the details of your agenda are up to you.

  3. Any enrollments that occur during the event, should go to the Brand Partner who invited the enrollee to attend. Confusion and/or conflict can be prevented by requiring guests to list who invited them to the event at the time of registration, and having it clearly marked on their name tag ahead of time.

  4. Unless otherwise agreed upon, it is assumed that all Common Scents team members are welcome to register.

  5. Stacy will present as a guest speaker (not a host). So leaders should plan to organize and host their own event, handle all venue details and expenses, and assign helpers for any DIY activities. Stacy is available for consultation and help with resources and Canva templates.

  6. Charging a reasonable registration fee communicates the value of your event, while at the same time, helps to encourage accurate RSVP responses. But try not to create too much of a financial burden on your guests. Your ticket price should reflect the cost of the venue and cover any or most of your consumable supplies and essential oils used during the DIY.

Remember to play the long game and be ready to reinvest your profits into building your team for long-term growth.

Stacy will supply all roller bottles, bath shot tubes, bath salts, labels, botanicals, etc., as well as class handouts and Truth Drops Exercises for each guest.

Host agrees to reimburse Stacy McDonald $5 per guest for her DIY expenses.

Stacy will also bring an Ancient Oils of Scripture display and oil bottle samples for passing around the room during the presentation.

Hosts will be responsible to have their own essential oils available for the DIY portion of this event, as well as any flip kits they want to offer to their personal enrollees:

To help keep the focus on the starter kits, the following oils are recommended for the DIY activities.

Recommended starter kit oils:

  • Peace & Calming
  • Stress Away
  • Lavender
  • Frankincense & Citrus Fresh
  • Valor

All oils from the Feelings Kit:

  • Forgiveness
  • Inner Child
  • Present Time
  • Release
  • Valor

Suggestion for Covering Your DIY Cost:

Typically, when I host a personal event where I keep the enrollments, I give guests the option to pay for their DIY ($10-$35) or get it for free with the purchase of a starter kit. You may want to consider creative ways to offer this option to your guests by using coupons or personal credit vouchers.

But remember, things can get crazy during a busy event, so try to keep payment options as simple as possible.

The following items will be available for purchase directly from Stacy during the event:

  • Truth Drops book – $15
  • Anointing Oil Necklace – $25
