Paying Attention to Your Body?
Magnesium is one of those things I think a lot of us don’t pay much attention to—until we realize just how much our bodies depend on it.
Feeling unusually tired? Muscles cramping or twitching? Trouble relaxing? Feeling weak or just a little “off”? There are all sorts of reasons those things can happen, of course, but not getting enough magnesium can be one of them.
And apparently, a lot of us aren’t getting as much as we should.
Magnesium is used all over the body—for our muscles, nerves, bones, energy, blood sugar, heart, and more. So making sure we’re getting enough is kind of a big deal.
Could You Be Running Low on Magnesium?
Magnesium deficiency can be sneaky. And while these symptoms can have lots of different causes, they’re also among the things that can show up when magnesium intake or levels are too low.
How many sound familiar?
☐ I often feel tired or low on energy.
☐ I experience muscle cramps or spasms.
☐ My muscles sometimes twitch.
☐ I occasionally notice tingling or numbness.
☐ I feel weaker than I used to.
☐ I don’t eat many magnesium-rich foods like leafy greens, nuts, seeds, beans, or whole grains.
Checked a few boxes?
It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re magnesium deficient—but it might be a good reason to take a closer look at how much magnesium you’re getting.

So…How Do We Get More?
First, food! Leafy greens, nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains are all good sources of magnesium.
But there are also two common ways people add extra magnesium to their wellness routine: internally and topically.
I personally like both.
An internal magnesium supplement is the best-established way to actually increase your magnesium intake. But here’s where it gets confusing: there are a LOT of different forms of magnesium, and they aren’t all the same.
Some are better absorbed than others, and some can have you spending a little more time in the bathroom than you bargained for. 😂
If you’d like to know which internal magnesium supplement I recommend, just text MAG to 309-450-9711, and I’ll be happy to share it with you.
And Then There’s Topical Magnesium…
This is where magnesium sprays, lotions, and baths come in.
I love topical magnesium because it’s just so EASY. Spray it on tired legs or muscles, massage it in, or make it part of that Okay, everybody leave me alone now, I’m going to bed routine.
You’ve probably heard that magnesium applied to the skin is a great way to replenish your body’s magnesium levels. But just a note, it’s difficult to know how much magnesium actually makes it through healthy skin and into the bloodstream.
So if I were concerned about an actual magnesium deficiency, I wouldn’t rely on topical magnesium alone.
But would I stop using my magnesium spray? Not a chance.
Especially since ours starts with something pretty amazing.
A Wee Bit of the Dead Sea
Our Dead Sea Magnesium Mist isn’t made by simply dissolving magnesium flakes in water.
We start with genuine, mineral-rich Sea water from Israel, naturally concentrated with magnesium and other minerals.
I love keeping it handy for tired, hardworking muscles, spraying it on my legs in the evening, or simply incorporating it into my nighttime routine. And because magnesium products can sometimes leave your skin feeling a little dry, I especially love following it with one of our rich body butters.
We have two versions:
Unscented “Just Add Oils” — use it just as it is, or add your own favorite essential oils.
Ancient Calm — infused with Frankincense for an easy, peaceful addition to your evening routine.
It’s simple. It’s mineral-rich. And it’s literally a wee bit of the Dead Sea in a bottle.
